JOHANNESBURG - The ANC Youth League (ANCYL) says it wants the Democratic Alliance (DA) to expel its newly appointed member of Parliament (MP), Renaldo Gouws, after two videos of his racist rants resurfaced on social media this week.

The MP has since been suspended by the DA, pending the outcomes of an internal probe into his alleged misconduct.

Speaking at Luthuli House in Johannesburg on Thursday, ANCYL President Collen Malatji said that the DA's stance was not enough.
"If they really want to work with us in this Government of National Unity then they must suspend him because the ANC does not associate with anyone who is racist and who is anti our non-racial agenda. We have been clear on that. and I see the DA has acted on him and I wish that they further expel him."
