UDM's Kwankwa won’t attend presidential inauguration after alleged hijacking ordeal
According to the party's president, Bantu Holomisa, his deputy was taken against his will in Cape Town enroute to the airport on Tuesday.

CAPE TOWN - United Democratic Movement (UDM) deputy president and member of Parliament (MP), Nqabayomzi Kwankwa, will not be attending the presidential inauguration on Wednesday following his alleged hijacking ordeal.
According to the party's president, Bantu Holomisa, his deputy was taken against his will in Cape Town en route to the airport on Tuesday.

A ransom of R10,000 was demanded and paid by the party.
Holomisa said Kwankwa was safe and recovering from the trauma.
"They have taken all his permits, his ID, [and] his license, so, he's completely inconvenienced. So, I said to him he must just relax and look after himself and his family and try and recover."
