Mayco member for Water and Sanitation, Zahid Badroodien said: "The originally planned work would’ve taken two days but thankfully because of the expertise and the professionalism of our team, the project was concluded this morning [Wednesday] at about 2am, with the valves having been successfully replaced last night [Tuesday] at 10pm."
Badroodien said the water pressure would improve throughout Wednesday.
"At 2am this morning, water started to recharge the particular pipelines, which means this morning, residents will start to experience low water pressures, with pressures improving through the course of the day. Major, major thank you to all of our residents for their patience and understanding but also to the team members of water and sanitation."
