ANC says it's not severed relationship with EFF in Gauteng metros

JOHANNESBURG - The African National Congress (ANC) in Gauteng has dismissed suggestions that it has terminated its relationship with the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in municipalities across the province.
Ekurhuleni Mayor and ANC member Doctor Xhakaza fired EFF provincial Chairperson Nkululeko Dunga from his position as the metro’s finance MMC this week.

Now that the ANC has joined forces with the Democratic Alliance (DA) in Parliament and in the province, some believe its relationship with the EFF is over.
At a media briefing on Friday, ANC provincial secretary TK Nciza dispelled the notion.
"We will try and engage with the Economic Freedom Fighters on those issues and see if we can’t find each other. If they’ve got a stance in how they want to move forward, we’ll respect that."
