JOHANNESBURG - A 48-year-old nurse arrested in connection with the murder of her 21-year-old domestic worker for a life insurance payout will appear at the Lenasia Magistrate's Court on Friday.
It is understood that the woman, who cannot be named at this stage, took out three life insurance policies for Busiswa Nxumalo, totaling R6 million.
She is facing a charge of murder and insurance fraud.

Outsurance, Stangen Life, and King Price were the three different companies that the accused used to cover Nxumalo before she allegedly slit her throat and eventually discarded her body at a dumping site in Lenasia.
Preliminary investigations by police have revealed the nurse was the only beneficiary to all the payouts, which have since been frozen.
Police say the murder was committed in 2022 at the nurse's previous home in Lenasia.
