CAPE TOWN - The case against two suspects linked to the mass shooting incident in Site C, Khayelitsha last week has been postponed to next week Wednesday.
Thirty-two-year-old Sithisa Masiko and 30-year-old Athule Mtsha were arrested on Monday and made their first appearance earlier this week.
Three children aged between 4 and 12 and a 30-year-old man were killed in the attack last Saturday.
Both accused appeared in a packed courtroom on Friday morning, with Police Minister Bheki Cele and Western Cape Police Commissioner Thembisile Patekile in attendance.
The court heard that Masiko and Mtshala were nabbed with four others while driving a suspected vehicle in Khayelitsha.
Cele has commended the police for the swift arrest.
"We hope that the prosecution and the police will work much better so that the case can be strong.
The court also heard that the suspects were positively identified by one of the victims as the alleged shooters in last weekend's incident.
