JOHANNESBURG - The uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) party said it feels vindicated by a court ruling, dismissing Jabulani Khumalo's application over leadership of the organisation.
On Wednesday, Khumalo's bid to be reinstated as the leader of the party was rejected by the Electoral Court.
Khumalo brought the application before the court, claiming that a member of the newly formed party forged his signature on a form, transferring leadership from him to former president, Jacob Zuma.

The Electoral Court, has, however, found Khumalo’s testimony to be riddled with inconsistencies.
MK party spokesperson, Nhlamulo Ndlela, said that the ruling proved the party's stance that Khumalo was a shady individual.
"The court even released a media statement which shows you that this individual perjured himself and what this means is that we now have grounds to open a criminal case against this individual and we plan to do so," Ndlela said.
