JOHANNESBURG - The Electoral Court has dismissed Jabulani Khumalo's application to be reinstated as the leader of the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party.
Khumalo brought the application before the court, claiming that a member of the newly formed party forged his signature on a form, transferring leadership from him to former president, Jacob Zuma.
However, in a ruling handed down on Wednesday morning, the court found Khumalo’s testimony to be riddled with inconsistencies.
The court said it believed that Khumalo's signature was not forged and he transferred the leadership of the party fully aware of the consequences.
