Expelled MK Party leader Jabulani Khumalo to attend first NA sitting

JOHANNESBURG - Expelled uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party member Jabulani Khumalo insists he will attend the first sitting of the National Assembly to get sworn in as a Member of Parliament (MP).
Khumalo’s name was not removed from the party’s final list to Parliament, despite clashing publicly with the party, even taking them to court.
Khumalo appears as number one on the list of people to represent the organisation in Parliament.
In a media statement released on Monday, Khumalo urged all the 57 other MK Party members to show up when Parliament’s seventh administration convenes for the first time.
In the final list sent to Parliament to represent the MK Party, three people have been expelled from the organisation.
They arei Khumalo, Lebogang Moepeng and Rochelle Davidson.
While another expelled member, Bhekizenzo Manzini, is on the list to represent the party in the KwaZulu-Natal legislature.
All four members were expelled in April for attempting to destabilise the party.
In his statement, Khumalo said the party’s attempt to interdict the first sitting of Parliament is misguided and embarrassing.
