The businessman-turned-politician has donated over R4.5 million into ActionSA since 2021.

Mashaba said he declined taking up any of the party’s six parliamentary seats, as he would be focusing on growing the party in preparation for the 2026 local government elections.

“I don’t get paid by the party, so even going forward, I’m not going to be a liability to the party. I’m going to rely on my family to really be able to survive.

“I can tell you and assure the people of South Africa that they are going to see more of me than they have ever seen before. My commitment to this country - because of the outcome of this election - makes me much more resolute and determined.”
