JOHANNESBURG - The African National Congress (ANC) in the Northern Cape said it had already found a partner that would enable it to govern the province.
But the ANC has refused to reveal the name pending the approval of the party's national executive committee (NEC).
The NEC is set to hold its first meeting after losing its majority across several provinces, as well as at the national level in this year's elections.

The party secured 49.34% of the votes in the Northern Cape, a drop from 57.5% in 2019.
Meanwhile, ANC Northern Cape secretary, Deshi Ngxanga, lashed out at fellow NEC member and ANC veteran Lindiwe Sisulu over her public utterances that the party going into a coalition with the Democratic Alliance (DA) would be a betrayal of its voters.
Ngxanga said that Sisulu, who's deployed to the Northern Cape, never helped with campaigning.
