The South African Weather Service issued a level six warning for the Eastern Cape for 'damaging' weather while it issued a level two weather warning for Cape Town.

More snow and thunderstorms are expected.
In areas like Tongaat in KwaZulu-Natal, tornados, flooding and mudslides have caused devastation and killed five people.
The low-pressure system will leave Cape Town today before heading to other parts of the country, bringing heavy rainfall, snow, and thunder.
