JOHANNESBURG - There's some good news coming out of the pumps for motorists, as fuel prices are set to decrease on Wednesday.
The Department of Energy said that both grades of petrol would go down by R1.24 per litre.
Diesel will decrease by R1.08 and R1.18 per litre.
Department spokesperson Robert Maake said that illuminating paraffin would decrease by R1.07.
“LP gas will decrease by R1.35 per kilogram. The main reasons for these adjustments are the lower oil prices and the stronger rand against the US dollar during the period under review, the lower price of propane and butane, which reduced the price of LP gas.”
