JOHANNESBURG - Former statesman Jacob Zuma has accused the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) of provoking the MK Party by declaring the results of the recent general election.
Zuma was addressing party supporters outside the Johannesburg High Court on Monday.
This is where his matter against the former leader of his party Jabulani Khumalo was being heard.

Judgement in the matter has been reserved.

A short while before Zuma stepped out of the Johannesburg High Court, Khumalo who’s taken the MK Party to court had a mob of the party’s supporters charging towards him and throwing objects at his car.
Zuma later addressed the crowd outside the court saying the IEC provoked them by declaring results that they planned to dispute.
While some of his supporters asked that he command them to pull out their machine guns – he cautioned them against this.
"Don’t be in a rush. I heard that some of you were so angry you wanted to take action and burn things, no don’t rush."
Even though the party’s spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndhlela told supporters that Khumalo’s court bid failed – the court is yet to hand down judgement in the matter.
