Inspirational former rugby league player Rob Burrow (41) has passed away.

He was a fan favourite, playing for the Leeds Rhinos Rugby Club in the UK for 16 years before retiring in 2019.

Burrow was diagnosed with motor neuron disease (MND) in 2021 and spent his last years raising awareness and funds for the MND community. 

He and former teammate Levin Sinfield raised over £13million (R309 million).
