EFF on KZN electoral support dip: The numbers don't matter, it's about 'the impact you can make'
With the introduction of the MK Party to the mix, the EFF’s support in the province took a significant knock in these elections, dropping to just more than 2% from almost 10% in the 2019 polls.

EFF leader Julius Malema said last week that the surge the party enjoyed in 2019 came from "borrowed" votes from "Zuma’s people" who had now found a new home.
Speaking to Eyewitness News after the province’s elections were officially declared on Sunday night, Nonkululeko Ngubane, the EFF’s provincial secretary, welcomed the votes they had received.
"We are avoiding the temptation of being ungrateful because when you go for elections, you ask people for their votes. If they believe this is what you deserve as the EFF in KwaZulu-Natal, you must accept it with humility.
"So, it wouldn't be fair of us to say now we are throwing tantrums, we want to stand on top of the table, but we believe we will still do our work. You know the EFF will engage robustly in that legislature. It doesn’t matter about the numbers but what matters is the impact you can make."
