‘We are the alternative’: EFF says being the governing party ‘only a matter of time’

JOHANNESBURG - Despite a sub-par electoral showing, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) says it is only a matter of time before it takes control of the South African government.
With more than 75% of voting districts counted, the red berets look poised to lose their title of 'third most supported party' to the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party.

Despite that, the EFF’s Vuyani Pambo says the party is pleased with the results so far.
“We are building an organisation, we are building an alternative, and we are the alternative. It's only a matter of time .The EFF is going to take over this country, and we are happy that we have been able to hold the fort.”
