IEC WC media briefing postponed as EFF, NCC cry foul over votes
Soon after the IEC cancelled its briefing, irate members of the EFF and the National Coloured Congress accused the commission of rigging the elections.

CAPE TOWN – An Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) Western Cape media briefing was called off tonight amid cries of foul play from the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) and the National Coloured Congress (NCC).
With just over 90% of the votes in the province captured, a briefing set for 8pm was postponed by the IEC until Saturday.

Soon after the IEC cancelled its briefing, irate members of the EFF and NCC accused the commission of rigging the elections.
Earlier, the EFF was seen arguing with the IEC provincial head Michael Hendrickse about 100 of the party's votes not being captured.

The EFF's Unathi Ntame said the party had identified more cases of election fraud.
"We have raised issues with facts. Remember, during the day, the EFF, they stole one hundred votes."
The NCC's provincial chair Dawayne Jacobs echoed the EFF's sentiments, saying they had taken steps to lay complaints about the voting process.
