Masinga said that one of the deceased lost their lives at Msinga and the other in Bulwer.
In the first incident, she said the person fell off a bakkie that was transporting voters and was then run over by the vehicle, while in the second, she said that they were stabbed to death in an altercation outside a voting station.
"These are very unfortunate incidents that we wouldn’t want to see happening around elections. The Bulwer incident had nothing to do with elections but, unfortunately, it happened too close to the perimeter of the voting station."
Masinga also confirmed that a voter at a station in Cato Ridge was allegedly assaulted by a police officer and that an IEC official at a station in Eshowe was allegedly assaulted by a voter on Wednesday.
