BETHELSDORP - Voters in Nelson Mandela Bay’s northern areas came out in their numbers to cast their ballots as they called for better services.
At the Heath Park College in Bethelsdorp, one of the bigger stations, a long line of voters could be seen more than three hours after voting opened.
Those voting in the predominantly Coloured area had previously voted for smaller parties like the National Alliance and Patriotic Alliance, with the two currently being coalition partners in the metro.

“Remember you get three ballots. My other votes will be going to the ANC [African National Congress].”
