NKANDLA - Former president and leader of the MK Party, Jacob Zuma, cast his vote at Ntolwane Primary School in Nkandla on Wednesday afternoon.
It is the first time that Zuma has not voted for the ruling party.
He vowed to vote for the MK Party, revealing he would throw his weight behind their campaign at an unveiling of the party earlier this year.

It was a quick in a out for the former president, who briefly appeared amid screams and cries from dozens of supporters gathered outside the Ntolwane Primary School in Nkandla.
There was hardly any interaction between the former statesman and the media, who had his head bowed down during most of the voting process.
After casting his vote, Zuma did a quick turn outside and strolled towards the MK Party tent, where he greeted cheering supporters, while Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) and African National Congress (ANC) supporters looked on.
He was then ushered into his vehicle and swept away in his convoy.
