IEC Deputy Chief Electoral Officer Masego Sheburi said the information being circulated should be closely scrutinised.
“Clearly if you voted today or if you’ve seen the ballots overseas, then you’ll realise that those elections are not South African elections because the ballots are not comparable to the South African ballots.”
Meanwhile, Minister of Police Bheki Cele is calling on law enforcement to act resiliently against disgruntled protesters who break the law.
“I am calling on our law enforcement to be very tough. The job of the law enforcement officers is to enforce the law – not to negotiate.”
