Nkosi recently switched her television scripts for a mic as the oh-so-cute and sweet Ice Cream on The Masked Singer SA.
This leading lady played the audience and detectives to the very end.
From Ice Cream's obscure clue package, the detectives could only gauge that she was possibly an actress and a mother.
Even expert spotter Somizi Mhlongo second-guessed himself when the supercool Ice Cream took to the stage.
“[The detectives] were so sure and they were so wrong. Under the mask, I am laughing every single time.”

Ice Cream’s top eight performance seemed to bring it together with Mhlongo and co-detective Sithelo Shozi throwing out Jessica Nkosi’s name.
Skhumba swung far with comedian Tumi Morake while J’Something and guest detective Devi Sankaree Govender were set on Thando Thabethe.

“It was absolutely amazing, I can’t describe how amazing, exhilarating, how fun… I felt like a kid. I got to just let go, let loose… just get on stage and do the most silliest things.”
- Jessica Nkosi, actress
“[Keeping the secret] was so difficult… I remember I asked my mum, ‘Do you watch The Masked Singer’? and she said ‘Yes, season two is about to start.’ And as soon as it was Ice Cream’s episode, she called me and said ‘Hi, Ice Cream’.”
