Speaking during the DA’s final election rally at the Willowmoore Stadium in Benoni on Sunday, Pappas said the province was in desperate need of new leaders.
"We need vigour, we need something that is energetic, something that can hit the ground running. We can't continue the same way that we are. And also, I’m a person of this province. I grew up in the rural areas, I went to school in the areas, and I served the people for many years. I bring with me a political party that has a plan tried and tested in government."
