The DA's final campaign event in the Western Cape comes as the party tries to solidify its support base in the predominantly coloured community, hoping to remain in power in the only DA-run province.
While the venue is still filling up with people, thousands of supporters are expected to descend on the Erica Park Sports Ground, in Belhar.
The party said the supporters will send a clear message that Western Cape works and will remain in "capable, DA governance".
The rally programme is expected to start after 11am and will be addressed by leader John Steenhuisen, Premier Alan Winde, and Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis.
