CAPE TOWN - The African National Congress (ANC) in the Western Cape said it was ramping up activities during this last week of campaigning before the national and provincial polls.
This follows a busy weekend where the party’s national leaders like, Gwede Mantashe and Naledi Pandor, campaigned in what will be a hotly contested province.
Eastern Cape leader, Oscar Mabuyane, was also in the Democratic Alliance (DA)-run province to bolster the party’s campaign.
"After Sunday, you can’t really do much because special votes will start next week. So, we are going to be ramping up activity this week but you won’t necessarily be finding big rallies and mass meetings," said provincial spokesperson, Muhammad Khalid Sayed.
He said the focus now would be on voter contact.
