It is believed that the little girl was kidnapped and human trafficked in a case where her mother Kelly and her boyfriend Jacquen Appollis are now among the key suspects in the alleged crime.

Before she vanished, it has been reported that Joshlin was left in a car belonging to Appollis.

Appollis has denied any involvement in her disappearance.

Smith, Appollis and their two co-accused are in custody and charged with kidnapping and human trafficking.

One of the accused, Lourentia Lombaard, is said to have made a confession after she was questioned about her involvement in Joshlin's disappearance.

The contents of the confession are yet to be confirmed.

Meanwhile, Joshlin's family and the Saldanha Bay community wait for answers about her whereabouts.
