Case against man accused of murdering Ditebogo Phalane postponed
The man made a brief appearance in the Soshanguve Magistrates Court on Friday where the case was postponed until 27 May so that he can secure Legal Aid.

JOHANNESBURG - One of the men arrested in connection with five-year-old Ditebogo Junior Phalane’s murder has made his first appearance in court.
Ditebogo was shot and killed in a botched hijacking last week Friday.
He had run outside to greet his father as he returned home but was met by an armed gang.

On Wednesday, police arrested two suspects in connection with the incident.
The first suspect appeared in the Soshanguve Magistrates Court on Friday.
He currently stands charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.
He made a brief appearance in the dock and the case was postponed until 27 May so that he could secure Legal Aid.
In the interim, he will remain in custody at the Soshanguve Police Station.
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has asked that the accused's identity not be made public at this stage, as an identity parade must be conducted first.
