DURBAN - One of the accused in the double murder of rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane has been accused of submitting a forged medical report to support his bail application.
Lindokuhle Mkhwanazi, the alleged second gunman in the case, previously claimed to be asthmatic as he pleaded with the court to grant him bail.
However, the doctor's note used to substantiate these claims has been found to be fraudulent.

The State in the murder case said Mkhwanazi tried to fake his medical records.
His alleged medical condition was also raised by his lawyer in the application for bail.
Magistrate Vincent Hlatshwayo read the summary of the heads of arguments in court.
“It is the evidence of the State that applicant number 1, with the assistance of his wife, misrepresented to Dr Moodley in uMtubatuba on the 11th of March 2024 that the person who was at the doctor’s room with the applicant’s wife, was the applicant.”
Hlatshwayo said that couldn’t be true, as Mkhwanazi was already behind bars.
“Whereas at the time, the applicant was detained at the Westville prison.”
All five men implicated in the matter have been denied bail.
