What would you do for your sibling? 

In 2021, Georgia Laurie saved her twin sister, Melissa Laurie from a crocodile attack while swimming in a lagoon in Mexico while on vacation.

Gilchrist reports that the reptile turned on Melissa three times but Georgia punched the croc in the face repeatedly which did the trick and got the crocodile to back off. 

While both British twins were bitten during the attack, they survived with one owing the other her life. 

At the time of the incident, Georgia told reporters that the incident 'sounds like a horror movie but it's just part of the tapestry of our life.'

Their story went viral and Georgia explained her experience to the media - watch below.

Now, Georgia will receive the bravery honour on the King’s first Civilian Gallantry List.

Georgia said of the honour: 'it’s an absolute privilege...it’s not every day you can say you’ve been given a King’s Gallantry Medal.'
