DENOSA: NHI Bill will allow health workers to operate in environment with sufficient resources

JOHANNESBURG - While the signing of the National Health Insurance (NHI) Bill has been faced with backlash, Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa (DENOSA) said the bill would allow health workers to operate in an environment with sufficient resources.
President Cyril Ramaphosa is set to sign the bill in a public ceremony at the Union Buildings on Wednesday.

The union said the sector was currently faced with many challenges that could be resolved through universal healthcare.
"That in itself would mean adequate healthcare service to the end users and they are very excited about that. At least the signing of the bill will now mean that the work towards the NHI must ensue because it has now become law," said spokesperson Sibongiseng Delihlazo.
