DURBAN - Axed uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party leader Jabulani Khumalo has told the Constitutional Court that he believes Jacob Zuma's daughter Duduzile forged a resignation letter in his name.
He claims in an affidavit that he never resigned as the president of the MK Party - accusing the former president of unilaterally and unlawfully booting him out of the party.
Khumalo says he seeks to advise the court and has no intention of weighing in on the merits of the matter.
The Constitutional Court will on Friday hear arguments in the Independent Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC)’s challenge of an Electoral Court outcome permitting Zuma to be a candidate for the National Assembly - despite his criminal conviction.

Khumalo has raised concern over the implications of the matter before the apex court on the MK Party.
He further says while he remains the executive, he has never been consulted on current proceedings.
In the affidavit - Khumalo states that he wrote to the IEC twice regarding Zuma's candidature and for the former president's face to appear alongside the party on the ballot.
Khumalo also accuses Duduzile Zuma of forging his signature and sending communication on documents with fake letterheads.
He said it made no sense that he would have been expelled if he had submitted a resignation letter.
