UPDATE: 1 fatality in shootout between police, suspected robbers on Marlboro Drive off-ramp
One person has been killed during a shootout between police and a suspected gang on the Marlboro Drive off-ramp in Sandton.

JOHANNESBURG - One person has been killed during a shootout between police and a suspected gang on the Marlboro Drive off-ramp in Sandton.
It's understood that the group robbed a business in Centurion earlier on Wednesday, where a victim was shot and rushed to hospital.
They were then followed by a police chopper before being accosted by authorities, however, four other suspects managed to flee.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area as traffic has been heavily affected.
JMPD spokesperson, Xolani Fihla: "Five occupants from the vehicle exited while shooting at the officers. The officers returned fire. One suspect sustained fatal injuries and the other four managed to evade capture."
