Gugs is an award-winning writer, broadcaster, editor, and author who is passionate about the media space.
She loves sharing her voice through her writing as a journalist, and takes radio very seriously.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT THE 702 FAMILY?
702 brings a lot of people together with different ideas, which is what Gugs loves most about the station.
Having all the different personalities together gives 702 a well-rounded and unique voice that brings something for everyone.

WHAT IRRITATES YOU?
Gugs is a woman who follows the rules and does what she is supposed to do, even when she was a child.
She says that when she was younger, she would get very annoyed if she did the work she was supposed to and others did not.
“I was always the child that reminded the teacher that we had homework. I was the worst.”

She also cannot stand when people are impatient on the road, even if she can be that way on occasion.
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVOURITE THINGS?
For many of Gugs favourite things, there is an element of nostalgia that makes her love them so deeply.
Her favourite food is pap and wors cooked by her mom and her favourite book is 'Great Gatsby' which she read in high school.
Even when travelling, she says the Western Cape, where she used to live, is the most beautiful place in the world.
When going abroad, she loves New York for its grungy vibe that reminds her of home.
