AKA and Tibzs' murder trial: Trial likely to start '4 to 5 months from now', court told

DURBAN - The families of rapper Kiernan Forbes and his friend Tebello Motsoane will have to wait a little longer to see the men accused of their murders stand trial.
On Friday, the prosecution told the court that it would be ready for trial in a few months.
The men arrested in connection with the murders of Aka and Tibz made appearances to apply for bail.

The two were shot and killed on Durban’s popular Florida Road in February last year.
The State told the court further investigations including follow-ups regarding the money trail are still being conducted.
“Your worship we are at a stage where we can say at least from now we are in May, by the 4th of 5th month from today we will be in a position to say we can set a trial date - 4 to 5 months from now,” said State prosecutor Lawrence Gcaba.
The arguments are continuing in the Durban Magistrates Court.
