Clarence Ford interviews Moulana Zakariyah Philander, Chief Operations Officer at the Muslim Judicial Council Halaal Trust (MJC).

Listen below.

The Muslim Judicial Council Halaal Trust has ceased to certify Clover, a company associated with the Central Bottling Company of Israel, as halaal.

Clover products displaying the Trust's logo will gradually phase out by August.

Philander says they will take similar action if they identify other companies linked to Israel.

He emphasises their pro-Palestine stance and commitment to supporting a free Gaza.

"The policy decision is very clear in terms of the MJC taking a stance not to certify goods emanating from Israel."
