Radio host and TV presenter Dineo Ranaka is stepping back from the spotlight and moving into the kitchen.
She has opened a new restaurant, The Untrained Chef, in Wynberg, Johannesburg.
She teams up with The Purple Chef, Barney Jiri.
The idea was born from Ranaka posting her favourite dishes on Instagram in 2017.
Fast forward seven years, and she has opened her first restaurant.
“I am just a home cook who really loves to cook but I have surrounded myself with a team of very skilled culinary chefs that head my kitchen... I really love to cook and I am really good at it, so why not?”

The Untrained Chef serves up all things hearty and healthy, from a selection of curries to an array of grills and a full breakfast spread.
