Despite its challenges, ANC remains preferred choice for many SA citizens - Ramaphosa

JOHANNESBURG - African National Congress (ANC) president Cyril Ramaphosa said that campaigning across the country had shown him that there was still confidence in the party.
Ramaphosa was speaking on the sidelines of his campaign trail in the Free State on Sunday, where thousands of party supporters attended the event.

He said that while the party had faced some challenges over the years, it remained the preferred choice for many citizens.
"In their own understanding of the fact that the ANC should continue to govern, it should continue to do what it's doing despite some of the weaknesses that there've been and they have confidence that the ANC has the capability, it has the leadership to do well and to correct itself."
