CAPE TOWN - In case you missed it, the iconic Joe Barber comedy team is back with a new series of live performances to celebrate the show's 25th anniversary.

Award-winning actors, Oscar Petersen and David Isaacs, who play Boeta Joe and Boeta Gamat, said they couldn’t believe the characters were still so popular.

The pair made the big announcement on KFM's Flash Drive on Wednesday.

"Okay, so we're doing another Joe Barber show... It's 25 years. You know, if you're in a relationship with somebody, it's the silver anniversary."

Petersen and Isaacs said they decided to do another show because people had been asking.

"We want to also do something. We're very excited - we haven't been on stage now for two years, so we want to celebrate it."

The show's 25th anniversary will take place at the Grand Arena at GrandWest in October and tickets can be bought through the Ticketmaster website from 8am on Friday.
