JOHANNESBURG - Lawyer for one of the accused in the Senzo Meyiwa trial has linked an apparent targeting by suspicious men outside his home to utterances made by producer Chicco Twala.
On Monday, Thulani Mngomezulu said he wants to subpoena Twala the father to Longwe who was in the house when Meyiwa was killed.
Mngomezulu also said he wants Orlando Pirates boss Irvin Khoza and the alleged mastermind behind Meyiwa’s murder Kelly Khumalo to take the witness stand.

Judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng has made the court aware of a complaint by Mngomezulu that he spotted two suspicious men outside his home on Tuesday morning, who seemingly wanted to harm, injure or kill him.
He said the men were scared away by the barking of dogs just before they could enter his home.
Mngomezulu suspects these men were targeting him because of his links to the Senzo Meyiwa trial.
He has further linked the incident to a radio interview done by producer Chicco Twala.
But Judge Mokgoatlheng says he cannot comment on this.
The judge has advised Mngomezulu to lay charges.
