He was asked about the emergence of the MK Party, which some polls have suggested will feature among the top parties in the province.
When asked about the emergence of the uMkhonto weSizwe Party and if he feared that it may claim ANC votes in the province, Ramaphosa said he was not bothered by such.
"I am not worried about any about other party, I am absolutely confident that the ANC will emerge as the preferred governing party of this country."
Despite the ANC's dwindling performance in the last national and local government elections, he has relied on voters' historic bond with the liberation movement.
"The people of this province and this region know the organisation that has led them through struggle, the organisation that has led development in this province and this country."
Ramaphosa has added that through the work of the party's volunteers, the ANC would be victorious come 29 May.
