The officials were charged with among others, gross negligence in the performance of their duties.
The charges relate to awarding a R290 million tender that was found to be irregular.
"A final determination was made yesterday [Friday] to place them on precautionary suspension with full pay," said City of Tshwane metro spokesperson Selby Bokaba.
"The City is of the view that their continued presence at the workplace will be detrimental to the stability of the municipality."
Meanwhile, the City of Tshwane disagrees with the outcome of the internal investigation over the tender award.
It says the chairperson leading the investigation recommended that the officials be suspended for a month without pay.
Moreover, this outcome is disappointing and will be challenged at the Labour Court - said the City of Tshwane.
