Mooikloof substation explosion caused by power line fault - City of Tshwane

TSHWANE - The City of Tshwane said that an explosion at its Mooikloof substation was caused by a fault on one of its power lines.

While the city is working to restore electricity supply to the affected areas, there is no estimated time for that.
Mayor Cilliers Brink said the restoration would happen in stages.
"We are simply not in a position to give a credible timeline. The biggest priority are the community service areas such as the Pretoria East Hospital and that area will try to be on as soon as possible."
