Titled When Love Kills: The Tragic Tale of AKA & Anele, this book plunges readers into the depths of a chilling narrative.
It narrates the journey of hip-hop luminary AKA, whose existence spiraled into chaos upon entering a relationship with 21-year-old Anele Tembe.
The tragic climax occurred when Anele allegedly plummeted to her demise from the 10th floor of the Pepper Club in April 2021, following a tumultuous night of heated altercations.

Subsequent revelations unveiled a harrowing narrative of obsessive toxicity, purported substance misuse, and violence.
Less than two years later, AKA met his demise in what appears to be a calculated hit.
Author Melinda Ferguson admitted to being deeply perturbed by its contents, suggesting a narrative of haunting secrets.
In the wake of this announcement, the parents of the late rapper, Kiernan Forbes, have voiced their vehement opposition to Ferguson's work.

As a journalist, Ferguson asserts that she did not deem it necessary to seek permission from either family to publish this work.
She contends that similar journalistic practices were employed when reporting on their respective deaths, without the requirement for permission.
Characterised as a modern-day incarnation of star-crossed lovers akin to Romeo and Juliet, Ferguson maintains that she has crafted a narrative she perceives to be profoundly empathetic.
Branding herself as South Africa's most hated woman, Ferguson notes that the majority of the backlash on social media stems from individuals apprehensive about the book's content.
