JOHANNESBURG - Cellphone data presented in the Pretoria High Court has been used to draw direct links and show communication between the accused in the Senzo Meyiwa trial.

The data presented by Gouws has shown that the phone linked to Ntanzi has numbers linked to some of his co-accused saved on it, despite some of the accused claiming not to know each other.
The defence’s Thulani Mngomezulu has looked to cast doubt on evidence led, including the allegation that his client, Muzikawukhulelwa Sibiya, was arrested with the phone that’s now been linked to him.
"The first time he was arrested, he was arrested and released without taking his cellphone," Mngomezulu stated.
"If you look on the screen, on your annexure 7, there was even a photo taken of him with his ID number, with the serial number of the phone, and it was found in his possession," Gouws rebutted.
Gouws’ cross-examination continues on Thursday morning.
