CAPE TOWN - Universities South Africa (USAf) CEO Dr Phethiwe Matutu said they're looking forward to working with the National Student Financial Aid Scheme's (NSFAS) administrator, Freeman Nomvalo.
Nomvalo, the CEO of South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), was appointed by Minister of Higher Education Blade Nzimande last week.

This was after Nzimande dissolved the entire NSFAS board for failing to carry out some of its basic responsibilities.
Thousands of students have been left without accommodation as a result and many have also not received their allowances.
Matutu said students and universities have been largely impacted by NSFAS' woes.
"NSFAS extended its period of taking up students for much longer than that middle of February that we had to get our students starting lectures.
"So, universities took a leap of faith and took those children in. Now the problem is that NSFAS has not finalised the process of saying who has the NSFAS bursary and who does not."
Matutu said she hopes the new administrator will be able to solve these issues.
"These students are going to cause universities to have bad debt if they don't get their results on time, in terms of being NSFAS beneficiaries and so on. That is an urgent issue that needs to be dealt with by this administrator."
