Multiple firefighting crews deployed to fight fire in Du Toitskloof pass
The Cape Winelands District Municipality's fire services said the fire, which started opposite the Du Toitskloof hotel, has continued to burn into the cliffs in the direction of the Huguenot Tunnel.

CAPE TOWN - A fire that started in the Du Toitskloof pass near Paarl continues to burn out of control.
The Cape Winelands District Municipality's fire services said the fire, which started opposite the Du Toitskloof hotel, has continued to burn into the cliffs in the direction of the Huguenot Tunnel.
The municipality's spokesperson, Jo-Anne Otto, said that firefighters have been working around the clock to contain the blaze.
"There are currently seven firefighting vehicles and crew and three ground teams from NCC and CapeNature."
She added that all roads in the area remained open.
"All roads are currently open, however, fire services requests that motorists travel with caution, not to stop and take photographs and to follow the instructions of traffic officials."
