JOHANNESBURG - Eldorado Park residents say they are skeptical of the Economic Freedom Fighters's (EFF) intentions in their community but are open to engaging.
The red party has been campaigning in the Johannesburg suburb over the past few days, doing door-to-door visits, clean-up initiatives and speaking to residents.
On Wednesday, party leader Julius Malema is expected host a meeting with to discuss issues affecting Eldorado Park.

Residents who'll be attending the EFF’s meeting say they are willing to hear how the party plans on solve these issues.
René Khan: "If they can help even with these kids that studied and can’t get jobs, that will also help prevent criminals from breaking into our homes."
Fagmida Brown: "They are all just here to use us as a community, it’s the first time as an Eldorado Park resident of over 40 years that I actually see the EFF here."
Johannesburg Ward 18, which Eldorado Park falls under, is governed by the Patriotic Alliance (PA).
In the 2021 local government elections, the PA got 63% of the votes while the EFF got just 1%.
