15 candidates contesting elections are only 18 years old

The IEC is holding a media briefing on the election timetable.
The applications for special votes are now open and the IEC is close to finalising all the logistics ahead of election day.
The final ballot has not yet been completed but they have an idea of what it will look like.
58% of those contesting positions are men, and 41% are female.
Interestingly, 15 candidates for positions are aged 18.
“They will be first time voters but also contesting in the elections.”

There are also around 17 voters that are 80 and older, according to Goba.
