Ekurhuleni mayor announces 10-member mayoral Cabinet
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has retained its five seats in the mayoral committee seats while the ANC currently has four.

JOHANNESBURG - Newly elected Ekurhuleni Mayor Doctor Xhakaza has announced his new 10-member mayoral Cabinet.
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has retained its five seats in the mayoral committee seats while the African National Congress (ANC) currently has four.
Previous Ekurhuleni Mayor Sivuyile Ngodwana is now the MMC for Corporate and Shared Services.

African National Congress(ANC) councillor and former Human Settlements MMC Masele Madihlaba is the only person who did not return.
Xhakaza said this mayoral committee would be in place until the end of the current political term.
"This has been a lengthy process that involves an extensive amount of consultations with lawyers, stakeholders and parties in the council. This appointment of the multi-party committee marks the beginning of a new era in responsive to service delivery."
